Lake Havasu Balloon Fest 2023

Each January, thousands of people converge on Lake Havasu City to celebrate all things hot air balloon-related. This family-friendly event includes daily carnivals, live demonstrations, music, magic, vendors, food, and more. Mass ascensions in the morning. Night glows in the evening. You won't want to miss a moment!

Balloon Rides

You do not have to be part of a team to ride in one of these beauties either. Whatever day you visit, stop by the ride tent to sign up for a tethered or untethered balloon ride. Tethered rides cost $20. Untethered rides cost $250. Each is only available on a first-come/first-served basis. So make sure you get there early. Also, they only lift off if the weather permits. That may change at any time. Therefore, prepare yourself for the possibility of not going up.

5K/10K Fun Walk/Run

Ready to get your fitness on? Sign up for the 5K/10K Walk/Run. It takes place on Saturday, January 21st, and costs $40. With your paid registration fee, you also gain access to the festival for the day. Register early to receive a commemorative T-shirt as well. Get the whole family to join in the fun for just $135 (two adults, two children). If you have a group of six, pay just $185 (a $55 savings).
