Lake Havasu Balloon Festival 2025

When people hear "hot air balloon", Albuquerque may be the first place they think of. However, their festival takes place in October. Who wants to wait that long? In Havasu, we take to the skies in January. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings welcome the day with a mass ascension at 7:45 am. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings put the sun to bed with an afternoon ascension at 4:15 pm and a special "Glowin' on the River" night glow at 7 pm. In between, they offer tons of entertainment to keep guests busy.

Tethered balloon rides are available daily as weather permits. Just sign up at the tethered ride sale tent on the day you want to participate. Rides cost $20 per adult (ages 12+), $10 per child ages six to 11, and $5 for kids ages five and under. Vendor row opens up each day at 8 am. Every day also includes a carnival and food vendors offering tons of delicious treats to keep your strength up. Some of the entertainment includes classic car shows, belly dancers, K-9 shows, crafts, dancers, and a synchronized kite display. You won't want to miss a single moment.

Balloon Festival Ticket Info

General Admission tickets cost just $20 per person for guests ages 11 and older. Kids aged 10 and under get in for free. Tickets may be purchased at the store (2109 McCulloch Blvd Unit #2) until 4 pm on January 7th. After that, you must purchase them at the gate. One ticket grants you access to the festival on all four days. Pay once. Come back again and again and again. For a unique experience, consider purchasing Gondola VIP tickets. VIP tickets range from $25 to $65 (depending on the day). Each wristband includes one parking pass and entrance to the VIP tent. In the tent, you get breakfast and dinner for the day as well as access to a cash bar.

Before 2024 Ends

Just because Christmas ended yesterday does not mean that there is nothing to do. Ice skating at London Bridge Resort continues every Wednesday through Sunday until the end of the day on January 12th. Each one-hour admission fee includes skate rentals. So, you don't even have to own ice skates of your own to participate. And don't forget to visit the Old English Village for a beautiful walk through half a million twinkling lights. That lovely sight takes place every night between now and January 5th. It costs nothing to park and nothing to see. But the memories you create with your friends and family are priceless.
