Don't Be Greedy is a local non-profit that helps Havasu families pay for their expenses when traveling out of the area for their medical needs. They reimburse individuals and families for their transportation, food, and lodging expenses. Because we live in the middle of the desert, serious medical care typically requires a road trip at the very least. Expenses can add up very quickly. These families already deal with stress from medical bills, taking off from work, and concern for their loved ones. They do not need to worry about how they are going to pay to be there in person for their loved one on top of everything else. Don't Be Greedy helps alleviate at least that part of their stress.

If you have not signed up for the Waterpark Challenge, you may still have time. The event itself takes place on Monday, August 24th. While it was created as healthy competition for workers in the hospitality industry, you do not have to be a hospitality worker to participate. You just need a five-person team and a competitive drive. Oh, and $150 for the team. (That's just $30 per person.)
