It's interesting to think that we celebrate our country's 249th birthday in just over two weeks. Each year, the skies over Havasu light up in an amazing pyrotechnical display. This year's Lake Havasu July 4th Celebration takes place on a Friday. And it looks like it might be the biggest one ever.

Festivities begin at 1 pm at the Rotary Park baseball diamonds. Dozens of vendors set up shop around the diamonds. Food trucks help you keep your energy up to make it through to nightfall. For the adults, beat the heat with a cold brew. Just make sure you bring a valid photo ID. Otherwise, you will get turned down. Fortunately, organizers plan on setting up cooling stations with lots of misters to help you chill out.

There will also be a classic car show filled with custom builds as well as quintessentially classic rides. Also, come see the Desert Storm boat display up close. These babies are a sight to behold. Also, organizers planned a cornhole tournament. If you want to join the tournament, please sign you or your team up at Scoreholio. Fireworks should go off just after sunset.

Admission to the celebration is absolutely free. Organizers highly recommend bringing chairs and/or blankets for your comfort. You may want to bring sunglasses and a hat. And you will definitely need to slather on the sunscreen to protect your skin. It'll be a blast!
