Spring is here. Spring breakers began flooding into town a couple of weeks ago. Before you know it, summertime will arrive. Usually, that means time out on the lake and a good meal with friends and family. If you like good barbecue, you might want to come to the Lake Havasu Qs and Brews event taking place this weekend.

Lake Havasu Qs and Brews 2025

Organizers at Mohave Community College put together their very first Bighorn BBQ competition and want everyone to join in the fun. Pit masters from all over the country make their way to Lake Havasu City to showcase their awesome barbecue skills. In addition to the delicious barbecue, Shugrues plans on bringing food to the event as well. Plus, you'll find a few food trucks around campus. So, the only way you leave hungry is if you choose not to eat. Plus, Grapes n Grains plans on providing beverages for the 21 and over crowd. (Make sure you bring a valid photo ID.)

Limited on time? You definitely want to attend between 11 am and 4:30 pm. Why? So you don't miss out on any of the raffles or basket auctions. The baskets up for auction include some great prizes courtesy of local businesses and organizations. All money raised from the Qs and Brews barbecue competition benefits the MCC Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Unfortunately, parking is limited. So come early for your best chance at finding a spot. And make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes in case you need to park a little bit farther than anticipated.
