According to the calendar, we are smack-dab in the middle of summer. However, the LHCUSD starts back to school on July 30th. That unofficially ends summer here...at least for the school kids. To celebrate the last weekend of the "summer", organizers want to invite you to Lake Havasu Splash Bash 2026.

Splash Bash offers a morning of fun, family-friendly entertainment. It is also offered free to the public. At the bash, water is the main theme of the day. After all, with temperatures regularly in the triple digits, you need somewhere fun to cool off. Rest assured. Water wars will break out at some point throughout the event. Additionally, kids can play in the foam pit. And what kid-friendly event is complete without some oozy slime? And those are just a few of the activities on the schedule for the day.

 

While water takes center stage, organizers really planned on a patriotic theme. They request that guests dress up in their very best red, white, and blue apparel. That includes swimsuits, shirts, hats, bandanas, and anything else you might want to wear. While not required, they strongly encourage guests to dress according to theme.

Depending on when you read this, it may not be too late to help underprivileged children in our community before school begins for the new year. How? By donating school supplies at Golf N Brews. They're looking for all kinds of school supplies: notebooks, pencils, pens, glue, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, and even backpacks. Just bring whatever you can to Golf N Brews today between noon and 4 pm. All donations they collect will go to the HAVEN Center for distribution to schoolchildren in the Lake Havasu area.
