Lake Havasu Desert Storm 2025

LHC's Desert Storm starts things off with a rowdy kick-off party from 6 pm to 10 pm on Wednesday, April 23rd at Desert Storm Headquarters (161 London Bridge Rd). On Thursday, April 24th, everyone's invited to the street party up and down Main Street from 1 pm to 9 pm. Then, at 11 am on Friday, head over to the Bridgewater Channel for the Parade of Power. After that, it's time for the Poker Run up and down and all around London Bridge and Bridgewater Channel.

Poker Run

Friday's Poker Run starts right after the Parade of Power. Dozens of boats race around to several different locations around the lake. At each station, they pick up a poker card. At the end, each team turns in their best hand for a chance to win cash and/or prizes. If you happen to find yourself out on the lake during this time, make sure you keep a close eye out for boaters in the competition. PWC riders need to pay particular attention due to the extra traffic on the lake at this time. Also, no wake-jumping!

Desert Storm Shootout

Another event taking place during Lake Havasu Desert Storm is the Shootout on Saturday, April 26th. The course for the Shootout is set up at Site Six. If you want to see some high-speed racing, make sure you come early to find yourself a good spot to watch. Racing begins at 10 am. Some boats go up to 200mph out on the waterway. Again, if you want to play on the lake that weekend, steer clear of the marked course and stay vigilant due to the higher traffic on the lake at that time.

Registration Info

Early bird pricing is still available for the poker run. Each team must pay a $445 entry fee per two-man team. After early bird pricing ends, prices go up by $50 per boat. This full pass for the poker run grants you two entry for two to the kick-off party, entry to the card turn-in and dock parties, awards dinner, driver meeting, two commemorative T-shirts, swag bags, and two poker hands. You may add an additional adult to your crew for an extra $100 and a child to your crew for $50 each. Entry to the shootout only costs $495 per two-man team. It does not include the poker run. If you just want to run in the shootout and do not want to join the parties or nab yourself a swag bag or other commemorative goodies, each team pays just $300. Register your team for the Poker Run and/or the Shootout online here.
