Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026

Around the country, fireworks tend to take place just twice a year: 4th of July and New Year's Eve. Here in the desert, we enjoy them in February as well. In fact, the Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026 is happening right now.

Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026 showcases the latest and greatest fireworks from pyrotechnics companies all over the country.

What: Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026
Where: SARA Park
When: Now through February 15th, at sunset (around 7:30 pm)
Cost: $10 per vehicle for parking. $10 per person for entry

Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026

The Western Pyrotechnic Association (WPA) hosts their annual Winter Blast every February. This brings in fireworks professionals in from all over the country to test out the latest and greatest in pyrotechnics ahead of the big holidays. Warmer winter weather and dry conditions surrounding the city with low to no light pollution make Lake Havasu an ideal place to host such an event.

Fireworks start at sundown (around 7:30 pm) each night. However, gates open much earlier. And it is highly suggested you get there early. This popular event fills up quickly. Today, tomorrow and Sunday, gates open at 3 pm. On Saturday (Valentine's Day, by the way), gates open at noon. Organizers expect that to be the busiest day of the festival.

Quick Tips

We all love our fur babies. But the noise from the fireworks as well as the large crowds can scare even the calmest of animals. Please keep them at home. The SARA Park dog park will be closed during Winter Blast. Organizers do not allow outside coolers, food, alcohol, firearms, tents, easy-ups, campers, buses, or RVs. They encourage bringing blankets and/or lawn chairs for your comfort. If you leave the grounds for any reason during the day, you will not be allowed re-entry without repaying. Alcohol and food will be sold at the park. But those vendors are all cash-only.

Ticket Info

Tickets cost $10 per person for admission, with a $10 per vehicle parking fee. Kids ages six and under get in free of charge every day. Today, parking and entry comes free of charge. But that only lasts for today. Tickets are only available at the gate. Make sure you bring plenty of cash because the ticket booth and parking operate on a cash-only basis.
