This distinctly American music was created primarily in the Appalachian Mountain area of the United States back in the 1940s. You can clearly hear the traditional folk music that influenced its creation. This was brought over from Scottish, Irish, and English immigrants. The Havasu Bluegrass on the Beach Music Fest 2026 celebrates this unique musical genre over the first weekend in March.

Around the country, fireworks tend to take place just twice a year: 4th of July and New Year's Eve. Here in the desert, we enjoy them in February as well. In fact, the Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026 is happening right now.

Where: SARA Park
When: Now through February 15th, at sunset (around 7:30 pm)
Cost: $10 per vehicle for parking. $10 per person for entry
Lake Havasu Western Winter Blast 2026
The Western Pyrotechnic Association (WPA) hosts their annual Winter Blast every February. This brings in fireworks professionals in from all over the country to test out the latest and greatest in pyrotechnics ahead of the big holidays. Fireworks start at sundown (around 7:30 pm) each night. However, gates open much earlier. And it is highly suggested you get there early. This populaZ ...
